Professional nude photography runs on an explicit ladder of levels: implied nude (nothing shown), topless, art nude, artistic, non-explicit full nude focused on form and light, then open leg, erotic, and explicit adult levels beyond. The single most important professional habit is treating each level as its own consent: a model who shoots art nude has agreed to art nude, not to anything further, and a brief that names its level precisely is the mark of a photographer worth working with.

Rates track the ladder. TFP trades are realistic at glamour level; from topless upward most experienced models charge, and an adult photoshoot is a paid production, never a trade. If you are building an art nude portfolio, expect to pay a fair half-day rate for an experienced figure model, she is doing the harder half of the picture. A nude photography model release must record who the model is, exactly what level was shot, what each side may do with the images and where, what the model is paid and when, and how their personal data is held. Signed before the shoot, with a copy to the model.

Identity. The model's legal name, date of birth and the ID document you checked, with the date you checked it. Stage names go in a separate field; the release is the document that proves the person in the pictures was an adult who agreed.

Scope of consent. Name the level in the language of the ladder above: art nude is not open leg, and implied is not topless. If the brief includes more than one level, list each. Anything not named is not agreed.

Usage. Where the photographer may publish and sell (portfolio, prints, stock, adult platforms), where the model may use the images, whether either side may license to third parties, and whether the model's face or name may appear. Time limits and territory if either side wants them.

Payment. The rate, what it covers (hours, number of levels, image delivery), when it is paid and by what method. A release that is silent on money is an argument waiting to happen.

GDPR. A copy of a passport or driving licence is personal data. Say what you hold, why you hold it, where it is stored and for how long, and give the model a way to ask what you have. The rate for a nude shoot is agreed per shoot, before the day, and paid by the person doing the booking. On Climaxx Media the model keeps the whole fee: the agency takes no commission from bookings, and membership is a flat subscription rather than a cut of anyone's work.

What sets the rate. The level shot, the length of the shoot, the model's experience and how the images will be used. Editorial art nude for a personal portfolio and explicit content for sale are different jobs with different rates, and a model is entitled to ask what you intend to do with the pictures before quoting.

How payment happens. Deposits for travel are common for location shoots, with the balance on the day or on delivery of the release, whichever you have agreed. Put the arrangement in the brief, pay on time, and you will find the same models available next time you cast.
